I'm a language student, originally from England, currently in France.
I use Wikipedia fairly regularly for research and following random trains of thought (oh the joys of broadband!)
I cheerfully describe myself as a geek.

I created an account here mostly so that I could do translations (it's good practice for me and possibly useful for others)
