Rooster Run is a famous country store halfway between Bardstown and Clermont in Nelson County, Kentucky It is world famous for its caps, where tourists for decades have bought, thanks to Jack Kerouac.

It got its name from when it was a local hangout for men, who would often have to run away from the bar so their wives wouldn't catch them there. In other words, when the hens came there the roosters made a run.
Although there was historically no actual community by that name, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has legitimized the locale by placing it on official highway maps of the state.
