The Asia-Pacific Network Information Center is the Internet registrar for the Asia-Pacific area, including Australia, which was formerly run by AUNIC. Registration information can be queried with the whois database at whois.apnic.net, which often points to records at whois.twnic.net (Taiwan), whois.krnic.net (Korea), or whois.nic.ad.jp (Japan).
