Aprepitant

Aprepitant is a drug, neurokinin-1 receptor antagonist, that blocks the effect of substance P. It mediates its effect via neurokinin 1 receptor that is an endogenous receptor for substance P. It is used in the treatment of chemotherapy induced nausea / emesis.

This class of drugs are called substance P antagonits (SPA).
