School shooting

The term school massacre refers to an incident of mass murder occuring at a school, normally perpetrated by students, although also in some cases by outsiders. School massacres in recent history have included:

• the killings in Erfrut, Germany in 2002
• the Columbine High School massacre in 1999
• the Dunblane massacre in 1996
