His Excellency The Most Honourable Professor Kenneth Octavius Hall, ON, OJ (Born in Lucea, Jamaica April 24, 1941)is the current Governor-General of Jamaica. He became Governor-General on February 16, 2006. He is Jamaica's fifth Governor-General since independence in 1962. Prior to becoming Governor-General, Kenneth O. Hall was a Pro-Vice Chancellor and Principal of the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus. Kenneth Hall has had a very long history when it comes to the field of education.
