Alatariel is one of the two believed descendents of Eldarion Telcontar. The bravest of the two, she was the only one to escape the orc raid in Anorien, while her brother, Ardethain, was slain. She became queen soon after King Eldarion died, for her mother, supposed to be of the High Elven race, sailed to Valinor from the havens.
