Willem Hendrik Keesom

Willem Hendrik Keesom was a Dutch scientist who in 1926 invented a method to solidify helium.

He had been student of Heike Kamerlingh Onnes, who had been the first to liquefy helium (a feat for which Onnes received a Nobel Prize).
