British computer scientist. In 1981 developed BBC BASIC for the BBC Microcomputer, a microcomputer that enabled Acorn, Ltd to win a contract with the British Broadcasting Corporation. In 1983 developed one of the first RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Computer) processor, the Acorn RISC Machine (ARM).

Since (when?), Roger Wilson is known as Sophie Wilson.
