Xv is a shareware program to display and modify digital images under the X Window System. At one point it was quite popular, but now it is somewhat outdated, as it hasn't been updated since December 1994 and several free alternatives exist. It was written by John Bradley. Xv is also a common abbreviation for the X video extension.
