In the fictional Gundam SEED anime series, the Battle of Heliopolis began the first of a string of battles between the Rau Le Creuset team (presently Zala team) and the Archangel crew. With the Earth Alliance development of its own prototype mobile suits and new mobile suit carrier, the ZAFT Le Crueset team launched a commando operation to capture these mobile suits and destroy the Archangel. During the battle, ZAFT was able to capture four Gundams, but the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam was still left in EA hands.
