Interstate 10 is a major east-west Interstate Highway in the southern areas of the United States. It runs nearly coast to coast from Santa Monica, California to Jacksonville, Florida.

In Mississippi, I-10 enters the Gulf Coast area of the state from Louisiana after crossing the East Pearl River. The highway parallels U.S. 90 to the north as it runs through the southern parts of three counties: Hancock, Harrison and Jackson.

The highway passes through the northern sections of three cities: Gulfport, Biloxi and Moss Point.

After leaving Moss Point, I-10 heads northeastward and enters Alabama after treking nearly 80 miles in the Magnolia State.

I-10 is four lanes through the state, except for the stretch between exits 28 and 50. Between those two exits, the highway is six lanes.
