Football Championship Qualifiers Round 1
Round 1 of the qualifiers / back door system includes all the counties that did not qualify for their respective provincial semi-finals with the exceptions of Antrim, Carlow, Clare, London, Offaly, Tipperary, Waterford and Wicklow. These eight teams will play in the 2007 Tommy Murphy Cup when eliminated from their respective provincial championship unless they can make it to their provincial final. This controversial rule applies to these particular teams because they will all play in Division 4 of the 2008 National Football League.
Teams will feature in round 1 of the 2007 All-Ireland qualifiers / backdoor system scheduled to be played on Saturday July 1st 2007, namely:
- Cavan
- Fermanagh
- Limerick
- Mayo
- Kildare
- Westmeath
- losers of Longford v Laois
- losers of Donegal v Armagh
- losers of Monaghan v Down
- losers of Meath v Dublin
- losers of Laois v Longford
- losers of Louth v Wicklow***
- losers of Winner of Louth v Wicklow v Wexford
- If Wicklow lose their Leinster championship match against Louth they will not play in the qualifiers / back door system instead they will go directly to participating in the Tommy Murphy Cup
