"Destination Calabria"
Song

"Destination Calabria" is a current single from the Italian DJ Alex Gaudino, with vocals from Crystal Waters.

"Destination Calabria" has had a following in clubs since it was known as "Destination Unknown" for many years. The track was put together with the help of Maurizio Nari two years ago, the saxophone hook/riff was sampled from a track by DJ Rune, "Calabria". For various reasons the track could not come to release — one of the reasons being a sample clearance issue. Finally, the issues were resolved and the track is now coming to CD single, digital download and 12-inch single on the 19 March, 2007, in the UK. This was after the track had enough time to become popular with DJ's all over the world. It entered the UK singles chart at #18 on 18 March, 2007 on downloads alone. As of 1 April 2007, the song has peaked at #4 on the chart. However, it has reached #1 on the UK Dance chart. It has so far peaked at #6 on the Australian ARIA Club Chart. The video got decent airplay.

Music video

The music video is directed by Rani Creevy and produced by Ben Pugh for Ministry of Sound. It features eight female dancers (Jessica Fox and more) in green marching band costumes. There is also a censored version of the video without the close-ups of the dancers' bottoms.
