John is an Anglican minister and an Honorary Associate of the Department of Ancient History at Macquarie University. He is the author of Mission-Commitment in Ancient Judaism & in the Pauline Communities. He is also one of Australia's most popular Christian writers, having written twelve bestselling books, including the award-winning A Spectator's Guide to World Religions and the recent A Spectator's Guide to Jesus.

John has degrees in theology and ancient history.
