Ballynahinch Rugby Club

Ballynahinch was first formed in 1954 at a meeting in the local British Legion club were it was thought that the would be enough support for a team and club in the local area. Headed by a Mr W. Steele with a dozen members backing him Ballynahinch Rugby Club was founded. Thusly Ballynahinch Rugby Club played there first match in September 1954 in Junior League. Since then Ballynahinch has grown into one of Ulster best supported, respected and loved clubs.

Ballynahinch currently play in- Ulster Senior League All Ireland League Division 2. Senior Cup Towns Cup

While the lower 6 grades are regular entries into Ulster 2nd XV League, Junior Leagues and Minor Leagues. Ballynahinch also have a very successful Youth Teams in the form of the Under 18, Under 16, Under 14 and minis rugby.
