The Waterloo and City Line is a short underground railway in London, built in 1898.

It connects Waterloo Station with Bank station in the City of London, running under the River Thames.

Ownership was transferred from British Rail to London Underground in 1994.

Colloquially known as "The Drain", possibly for its shape on the map.
