Civilization Revolution (full title: Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution) is a new iteration of Civilizaton being developed by Firaxis with Sid Meier as designer for seventh generation consoles and hand-helds. So far, the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Wii and Nintendo DS have been named as target systems by publications[1][2][3][4], and the Xbox 360's features are heavily referenced in the press release, such as Achievements. Take Two Interactive announced the game, to be released under the 2K Games publishing label, in a press release on June 28, 2007.[5] The game is due Spring 2008.
Meier has been enthusiastic about this release, being quoted in both the press release and trailer as saying, "This [Civilization Revolution] is the game I've always wanted to make."
