Massanutten Military Academy
Massanutten Military Academy (MMA) is a coeducational college preparatory school for grades 7 through 12 and one postgraduate year, situated in Woodstock, Virginia, United States. Average enrollment is around 220 students. The motto of the Academy is Non Nobis Solum ("Not for ourselves alone").
Established in 1899, the Academy adopted a military program in 1917. The MMA Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) unit is consistently recognized as an Honor Unit with Distinction, placing it among the top in the nation. It is the only school in the nation to offer JROTC during its summer school. The corps of cadets is organized into six line companies and a band. The companies are Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta (AKA the Delta "DOGS"), Echo, and Golf.
MMA is fully accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools (VAIS) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
The current president is Colonel Roy F. Zinser, USA (Ret.). The current commandant is Lt. Colonel Dillon The current deputy commandant is Major Corbo.
