Tame One is an underground rapper from [[New Jersey] currently signed to the label East Cost Records. He was part of The Artifacts, a popular rap group known for their old school style. Tame One is a fan of graffiti, and is an avid graffiti artist himself. He has released two albums with the Artifacts, three solo albums and one collaboration with former labelmate Cage Kennylz, who recently defected to Definitive Jux Records. He has worked with artists such as Busta Rhymes, Redman, Mos Def and Kool G. Rap.

Style

Tame One's style is often credited with bringing a "classical element of style to the hip-hop culture"[1]. One example of Tame One's "old school" style is his affinity for graffiti art. In the early days of hip-hop graffiti art was one of the most important elements in the appeal of the music. However, it was lost popularity among rappers in recent years. Tame One also makes many references to drug use, including PCP and marijuana.
