"Peaceful Easy Feeling" is a song written by Jack Tempchin and recorded by the American rock band Eagles. It was the third single from the band's debut album Eagles.

Cultural references

In the 1998 film The Big Lebowski, this song plays when "The Dude" is in a cab after Malibu's police chief orders him out of town. Being very worn out and not liking the Eagles (as a major Creedence Clearwater Revival fan), The Dude angers the cab driver after telling him to change the station. After The Dude complaints some more, the cab driver pulls over and forces him out of the cab.[citation needed]

Cover versions

On the 1994 album Common Thread: The Songs of The Eagles, country music band Little Texas recorded a cover of "Peaceful Easy Feeling". This cover version charted at #74 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs charts.
