Éwerthon Henrique de Souza (born June 10 1981 in São Paulo, Brazil) is a Brazilian international football player, currently playing for Real Zaragoza in La Liga. His position is attacking midfielder or forward.

Ewerthon began his career at Brazilian club Corinthians in 1999, where he made thirteen appearances in two seasons, scoring three times. In both of his two seasons at the club they won the Brazilian Championship and in 2000 he helped them win the FIFA Club World Championship. Despite his young age he impressed many fans and pundits of Brazil and attracted European clubs. Borussia Dortmund were one of the clubs chasing his signature, and in 2001 he signed for the club.

His time at Westfalenstadion was very successful. In four seasons he played 156 games and scored an impressive 59 goals. He also gained Champions League experience at the club. In 2002 his goals helped the club secure the Bundesliga title for the sixth time in their history. His good performances were recognised by the Brazilian national side and during his four seasons as a Borussia player he appeared seven times for Brazil, without scoring. The games he played for the national side were between July, 2001 and July, 2003.

His spell in German football was ended with a move to Spanish side Real Zaragoza on July 13, 2005. He looked good in his first season in Spanish football, as he appeared thirty-seven times, scoring thirteen goals. This left him the clubs second highest scorer that season, behind Diego Milito as the club finished 11th in the league. It also meant he was one of the top scorers of that season, finishing joint seventh with Fernando Torres. In 2006/07 First team opportunities were slightly limited after the signing of Pablo Aimar and the form of Sergio Garcia and despite the fact the majority of Zaragoza see Ewerthon as having more talent than Garcia due to his pace, tricks, direct sense of play and goalscroing prowess.

On July 14, 2007 he was loan until summer 2008 to VfB Stuttgart, who has an option of purchase.
