The Féile Festival (also known as The Trip to Tipp) was an Irish music festival that was the forerunner of Witnness and Oxegen. It took place at Semple Stadium in Thurles in County Tipperary during August. The three-day festival was attended by approximately 50,000 people. The first Féile was held in 1990, when Hothouse Flowers headlined the Saturday night line-up, although there were acts onstage from midday. The Sunday line-up included Van Morrison. Other acts to perform included Big Country, The Saw Doctors, Moving Hearts and Tracy Chapman.
