Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue is the second in the Ty the Tasmanian Tiger action-adventure game trilogy.
Gameplay
Unlike the original this one puts you in a small world inwhich you can go freely from one area to another. In this game it's not like the other inwhich you are given all types of environments. Instead you choose missions and do them. You cross from place to place on a Jeep. There are a few locations like the sewer and crocodile farm that you can enter and are somewhat large though.
Story
Prologue
"Long ago, a great battle was fought. Boss Cass sought out five mystic talismans so he could banish every warm-blooded creature to the Dreaming. But, one brave soul stood up to Cass, and thwarted his quest for the talismans. He risked all in an effort to save his family and friends, and in the end, he succeeded. Cass was banished for his crimes, and the land was made safe once again. All thanks to one lone hero, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger."
Now...
One day Ty and Shazza were driving when ranger Ken tells him Boss Cass, the evil Cassowary who imprisoned Ty's parents long ago, has escaped from Currawong Jail and has hatched a plan to take over the world with an army of Uber Reptiles. But to power them he needs the warm-blooded energy of mammals. Dennis, the Green Tree Frog, has formed "Bush Rescue", an organization to stop Cass. It won't be easy for Ty to get to him, because after Boss Cass escaped he set up his own country called Cassopolis and claims he has diplomatic immunity.

Rangs
Ty and some of his friends use boomerangs (They're just called 'Rangs' in the game) to combat enemies, solve puzzles, and other actions. Each Rang has a different use or effect when thrown.
Normal Rangs
Boomerang Ty's default boomerang.
Aquarang A pair of rangs that Rex found in a shipwreck during the first game. They are the only rangs that work underwater.
Frostyrang Freeze enemies and creates icebergs on water.
Flamerang Packs a fiery punch. Can burn away spider webs.
Lasherang Used to cling on to special Lash Rings.
Zappyrang An electrical charged rang that can start up generators.
Infarang See hidden objects and Frill Spies.
Smasharang Tougher. Can break steel crates.
Megarang Rangs that automatically go towards objects and enemies.
Deadlyrang An explosive rang. These were the boomerangs that Sly used in the first game. The only real difference between this rang and the Kaboomarang is that they only have two ends, fly faster, and you can throw one at a time instead of both.
Doomerang The ultimate rang. Can be guided using the controller. Instantly kills enemies.
Upgraded Rangs
Multirang Throws multiple rangs.
Freezerang Stronger freezing capabilities.
Lavarang Improved with the power of lava. Creates a wave of lava on impact.
Warperang Can hook onto Warp Crystals and get to certain places you can't normally get to.
Thunderang When this rang flies across the ground, it sends a lightning bolt and when it hits a wall, object, or enemy,, it creates an electric explosion.
X-Rang A more powerful variation of the Infrarang that lets you see invisible boxes and items and Frill Spies without having to zoom.
Kaboomerang Rangs that fly in a X pattern and explode, yet even after exploding, they reappear in Ty's hands.
Omegarang 3 Megarangs in 1.
