Bremen Overseas Research and Development Association (BORDA) - non-governmental organization declaring its task to improve the living conditions of underprivileged and disadvantaged people by the endorsement of environment-friendly technologies for basic needs, based on the utilisation of renewable energy. Founded in 1977 in Bremen.

The Organization works in the following areas:

BORDA is acting in Indonesia, China, India, Vietnam, the Philippines, South Africa and others. There are permanent offices in India, Vietnam, Indonesia.

In Vietnam the Organization implemented the Hydraulic Ram technology and introduced the use of biogas, energy-saving stoves and solar panels, supported the introduction of HPC's turbine pumps and the technology of Decentralized Waste Water Treatment System (DEWATS).[2]

The Association is financially sponsored by Federal German Ministry for Economic Cooperation & Development, the European Union, City of Bremen, World Bank, UNDP.
