The macedonian anthem was composed and created in 1943 or 1944 by Vlado Maleski. It was adopted to be an anthem of the former Yugoslav republic of Macedonia when it was established after WW II. Later the song was selected to be the anthem of the newly established independent Republic of Macedonia.
