Trigon (comics)
In the DC comics series Teen Titans, Trigon appears as a large, red, four-eyed demon with antlers. He is the mysterious father of the superhero Raven of the Teen Titans.
In the Teen Titans comics
Arella was a runaway and later was part of a satanic cult who were trying to bring Satan to Earth. When the ritual was performed, Trigon emerged and forced Arella to marry him; then he made love to (and impregnated) her so his evil would live on. Arella was on the brink of suicide when a inter-dimensional cult found her and brought her to Azarath where Raven was born and taught to "control her emotions" in order to suppress and control Trigon's demonic powers that she was born with.
Eventually she learned that Trigon was planning to come to her dimension and vowed to stop him. She initially approached the Justice League, but they refused her on the advice of Zatanna who sensed her demonic parentage. In desperation, she reformed the Titans as the New Teen Titans to fight her father.
The team was eventually able to defeat Trigon and seal him in an interdimensional prison. However, Raven still had to fight her father's influence, as he was not completely destroyed. Trigon eventually escaped and came to Earth and took control of Raven. Azarath was destroyed in the process. The Titans came together and killed Raven. This allowed the souls of Azarath to possess her and use her as a channel to kill Trigon.
In the Teen Titans animated series
In the Teen Titans Trigon first appears in Raven's mind in the episode "Nevermore", representing Raven's darker side. Later Trigon makes his coming known in "Birthmark" when he brings back Slade (Deathstroke) to inform Raven of his coming and how she is his portal to the Earth. Trigon has already destroyed Azarath and Arella and his cruelty is legendary even on Tamaran. The "S" on Slade's forehead is the Mark of Scath. It is Trigon's mark and was secretly referred to by members of a cult like group so they would not be found out. On the day of the end of the world, Raven let Trigon come to Earth but she gave her friends her powers so they could survive Trigon's reign on Earth. Trigon also took away Slade's powers. Trigon also regressed his daughter's physical age to that of a 10-year-old child, in order to carry out his plans (some fans believe this is because Trigon may adore his daughter more if she was in this regressed state). Trigon took over Earth and thought that fighting the Titans was worthless and made evil clones of Cyborg, Starfire, and Beast Boy, while Robin and Slade went to find Raven and wait for Slade to regain his skin.
