U-TIC Organization

A character/reference from the PS2 game series "Xenosaga".

Official Name: Unknown Territory Intervention and Creation Agency

An agency connected closely with the Miltian Conflict. It was buried in obscurity for decades, but reappeared in T.C. 4767. It is an organization not associated with the Galaxy Federation, it nevertheless boasts a level of technology and military force that far surpass those of the Federation government or military. U-TIC's current leader is Margulis. Its origins can be traced back to the Mizrahi Neuro-science Institute, which means that Joachim Mizrahi is the agency's founder. However, the connection between him and Margulis is yet unknown. The U-TIC organization can actually be considered a front for the Immigrant Fleet, another organization that is even more powerful. Both have gone to great lengths to get the Y-Data stored in MOMO and the Zohar on Old Miltia.

The actual purpose of the U-TIC organization was to distract the Galaxy Federation from the objectives of the Immigrant Fleet. Because the Immigrant Fleet was considered a legal organization within the Federation, it couldn't move as openly without risking exposure of its true objectives. Thus the U-TIC organization was used in its more overt moves against both the Second Miltia government and the Federation itself. Though Joachim Mizrahi can be considered the founder of the U-TIC organization, it is unlikely he had much control over what it turned into. At the moment, the status of the organization is unknown as the Immigrant Fleet was mostly destroyed at Old Miltia, though Margulis remains at large.

Politically, the U-TIC organization seems to hold influence over many members of the Federation, including a former member of the Contact Subcommittee(S.O.C.E.). It controls a large military fleet and has many members within its organization. But in the end, its leadership is still in question as another mysterious figure was mentioned in Xenosaga II. It is also possible that the CEO of Vector Industries, Wilhelm, may also have some influence on the organization. However, at the moment, this is all speculation.
