Tusshar Kapoor ( तुषार कपूर; born 20 November 1976) is an Indian actor. He is the son of Bollywood actor Jeetendra and brother of Ekta Kapoor. He studied at the University of Michigan.


Biography

He made his debut with Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai opposite Kareena Kapoor in 2001 which was a box office hit[1] and he received the Filmfare Best Debut Award. The next two years was followed by a list of box office flops. In 2003 he acted alongside his father in the teen slasher horror film Kucch To Hai.

After two years without any major successes, he gave a critically acclaimed performance with Khakee (2004) in which he starred opposite film legend Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan and Aishwarya Rai. He then had his second major box office hit with the comedy Kyaa Kool Hai Hum (2005). In 2006 he starred in the multi-starrer comedy Golmaal which was a moderate box office success.[2].

In 2007 his first two films Kya Love Story Hai and Good Boy, Bad Boy did not do well at the box office. His third release was the huge multi-starrer Shootout at Lokhandwala which did well at the box office. [3] and won him acclaim for his performance as the real-life gangster Dilip Buwa. His recent release Aggar has proved to be disastrous at the box office but his next release after that, the multi-starrer comedy Dhol has done moderately well at the box office.
