Pakistan Movement
The Pakistan Movement is a name given to independence struggle carried out by Muslims of erstwhile undivided India to create a separate homeland. The struggle was led by The Muslim League. Mr. Jinnah was the forefather of the movenment and aided by Liaqat Ali Khan, Suhrawardy and Abdul Rab Nishtar. From the passing of a resolution citing independence, in Lahore in 1940, the Muslim League made it the main objective to get a separate home land for the Muslims of India. Soon after World War II, the British were convinced that keeping India was no longer possible for the Crown as the United Kingdom itself was economically shattered by the war. Under political supervision and hasty measures, India was partitioned into Pakistan and India. The partition was supervised was Sir Radcliffe.
