Pat Brown

Edmund G. "Pat" Brown (1905-1996) was the 33rd Governor of California, serving from 1959 to 1967.

He was a member of the United States Democratic Party and served two terms before losing the 1967 election to actor Ronald Reagan.

In 1975 Brown's son, Jerry Brown (full name: Edmund Brown Jr.) was elected Governor of California after Reagan stepped down. Jerry's daughter Kathleen Brown, served as state treasurer and made an unsuccessful run for governor in 1994.
