Cat Lake is an Ojibwa community 180 kilometres northwest of Sioux Lookout in northwestern Ontario with a registered population of 610 as of October, 2007. It is only accessible by plane, and by winter/ice roads, which connect to the Northern Ontario Resource Trail. In 2003, it expanded its reserve land from 2.18 to 12.71 km² under the Government of Canada's Addition to Reserve Policy[1].
