One way to donate to the relief effort is to Give Blood. However, money and supplies are also needed.

  • Yahoo

See Assistance for how the Red Cross has been using the money.

Rescue Worker funds

Fire Donations is taking charitable contributions on behalf of all Firefighters, EMS, and Rescue Workers who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks.

Other charitable drives

  • In the Washington, D.C. area, Giant Food is offering to match contributions made in-store up to $1 million.

  • The National Police Defense Foundation Police Memorial Fund to help fund the existing psychological counseling program for police victims and establish a police memorial park in memory of the slain police: NPDF Memorial Fund, National Police Defense Foundation, 21 Kilmer Drive, BLDG 2, Suite F, Morganiville, NJ 07751; 888-SAFE-COP, [email protected]

Emergency Supplies

On Thursday and Friday, September 14-15, 2001, various relief supplies for the World Trade Center relief effort were collected from the New York City area, and dropped off at the Javits Convention Center or at a staging area at Union Square.

By Saturday morning, enough supplies (and volunteers) were collected. Monetary donations are still needed and welcome.

Benefits

See Memorials and Services for descriptions of benefit performances.
