My name is Jean-Pascal Houde, I am 17 years old and I live in Québec, Canada. My primary language is French, but I can also talk in English. I am currently completing a DEC ("Diplôme d'études collégiales", Diploma of collegial studies) in Computer Science at the Limoilou College. In 2004, at the end of my DEC, I plan to start a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, at the Laval University. My favorite pastimes are computer programming (mostly using Java) and ... well ... all the other things you can do with a computer ! ;o)

About Unix, I use Linux (mostly Red Hat Linux) to do most of my work on my computer, and I prefer Vim to Emacs ;)

I contribute to some open-source projects, like ChordCast, a Java chord editor.

I also started a project, JRecipes, for which I am currently the only programmer. JRecipes is a Java web application that allows people to share their recipes with others. JRecipes is licensed under the GNU General Public License.
