Leuven (French Louvain) is a rather small city, inhabitants approx. 88,000. It has the largest and oldest university (15th century) of Belgium, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KULeuven) which makes it a real "student city" from October until June. Also well known in Belgium for its summer rock festival Marktrock.
