I work in the software industry. More on the business side than the technical side, but I enjoy both.
I co-founded Solomon Software International, the international marketing arm for the Solomon accounting applications now owned by Microsoft. I worked as VP Sales & Marketing for Solomon Software. Co-founded FoodCom, a developer of EDI software for the food industry, and co-founded Computech Group in 1979, one of the earliest distributors of Epson printers in the USA.
I've served as a business advisor to Corticon, Inc. a startup out of the Univ. of Pennsylvania and the developer of the world's first general purpose analog neural computer -- located interestingly enough one floor above where ENIAC, the world's first digital computer was built. Also served as a director of The National Board of Medical Examiners Testing Centers.
I'm currently (2003-2004) working on the strategy and investment side of real time communications applications.
My kids would say my hobbies have hobbies: I have an Extra Class Amateur radio license(AF3K), travel, nature photography, boating, snorkeling, reef aquariums, genealogy, R/C airplanes. I'm learning to kitesurf.
I live in Naples, FL, one of the most beautiful places on the planet (OK, slightly biased..)- located on the southwestern tip of Florida, bordering the Everglades on one side, and the Gulf of Mexico on the other. I've also lived in Philadelphia, PA; Rome, Italy; Madrid, Spain; Santiago, Chile; and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
