Miss World 2008, the 58th Miss World beauty pageant, will be held on October 4, 2008, at the Ukraina National Palace in Kiev, Ukraine.[1] An official announcement was made confirming the venue during the final telecast of Miss World 2007.

About 110 contestants are expected to arrive in Kiev by September 1st.

  •  France - According to the accord struck with Miss France Committee, the French representative to Miss World can only be from mainland France.
  •  Vietnam - Ngo Phuong Lan, Miss World Vietnamese 2007, will represent Vietnam at Miss World 2008. She was supposed to represent the country in 2007, but because of her studies abroad, she was not available and the second runner-up was appointed.
