An anthem is a song of praise or gladness, usually acting as a symbol for a certain group of people. Particularly well known are national anthems; see National anthem for a list of these. The following is a list of articles on other anthems.

Anthem is also a science-fiction novel by Ayn Rand about a future world where mankind had entered another dark-ages. This is a dark-ages of the ego, born from the dubious social values of equality and brotherhood, rather than the productive values of achivement and individuality.
