Pharamond

Pharamond is considered to be the first Duke of the Salian Franks, though he is possibly a legendary rather than historical figure. In AD 420, he reportedly led his people in crossing the river Rhine and heading west. This movement would effectively seperate his tribe from the majority of the Rhinefranks that had settled near Cologne. Pharamond was eventualy succeeded by his son Chlodio. Duke Phramond
