Lady May is an African-American rapper from New York City's suburbs. She was born during the '80s and grew up listening to Elton John, Duran Duran and Michael Jackson. She has always been influenced by rap music. That's why, at the age of fifteen, Lady May stopped studying at High School and became a Hip Hop dancer in music videos for artists such as: LL Cool J. She released her album May Day in 2002 which is very hip-hop and rap flavoured. She has had a big MTV smash hit called Round Up in 2001 with urban and RnB jazzy singer Blu Cantrell.
