Steven Soderbergh is an American director, born 14 January 1963, Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

Soderbergh's first film, Sex, Lies and Videotape which he both wrote and directed, was a worldwide success, both critically and commercially.

In 2001 he received an Academy Award for Best Director for Traffic, while another of his films Erin Brockovich was also nominated in the same category.

His next film Ocean's Eleven also had a role for Julia Roberts, just like Full Frontal, which he was working on as of July 2002.
