Michael Crafter

---|
Michael Crafter is a singer and strong participant in the Australian hardcore scene. He is known for his anti-drug stance and is Straight edge[1].
In early 2007 he was recruited as vocalist for Worcester, Massachusetts hardcore band, Bury Your Dead[2], but decided to leave mid-tour in May 2007 due to homesickness: "... all I have wanted is to be home with my friends and this stops me from giving my all"[3][4]. However, he is still perhaps best known in Australia for fronting Adelaide metalcore band I Killed the Prom Queen from 2001 to 2006, and after that, Melbourne hardcore outfit Carpathian[1]. Crafter joined Carpathian shortly after the release of their debut album Nothing To Lose in 2006, but after seven months parted ways with them in February 2007[5], citing need for change as his motivation. He played bass in Adelaide metalcore band Shotpointblank for a time[5]. He is well known in the hardcore scene, previously running an online zine, Broken Glass Online, which was popular for its forum, as well as organising hardcore festival Prepare to Burn[5].
Crafter is returning to front I Killed The Prom Queen on the final Australian 'Say Goodbye' tour over May/June 2008[6].
Michael Crafter is currently in Lock Down and is to enter the Australian Big Brother House on Sunday 4th May 2008 as One of Three Housemates whose Video Entry's received the most votes last year.
His current projects include fronting the Anti- Croosh band Confession. He owns Mistake Clothing and is all the rage on the Kill Your Stereo forums.

Crafter has also recently started a band with fellow hardcore musicians to form confession and their debut song "mirror" is a blast.
