Kidnapping of Elizabeth Smart

Elizabeth Smart is a 14 Year old Utah teenager who dissapeared in June, 2002, from her house in the morning hours. She was kidnapped at gunpoint as her 9 year old sister was forced by the kidnapper(s) not to tell her parents at least for 2 hours.

The police are actively working on the case, and unfortunately, althought they had a suspect in custody, the suspect, Richard Ricci, died a few weeks later.
