Mr: Kutti Widana Arachchige Hemal Lakpethum was born in Ranna in the southern rural district of Hambantota. He was educate at H/Ranna Maha Vidyalaya. Currently He is an undergraduate at Department of Town & Country Planning in University of Moratuwa (2005/2009).

Hemal Lakpethum was born in a village called Ranna situated in Tangalle – Southern Province in Sri Lanka on the day of October 17, 1984.
