Thanks...on wheels
Hi, Antandrus. Thanks again for getting me out of a blue funk over Lutosławski the other day. And I just want to express appreciation for the effort you're putting in to undo all this page-move vandalism; it can't be very enjoyable for you. The sooner the developers implement the edit-count bar to page moves the better; the biggest detriment to Wikipedia is that it's stopping you contributing to articles… --RobertG ♬ talk 15:36, 19 August 2005 (UTC)
I love you.

- ALL YOUR YELLOWCAKE ARE BELONG TO US sounds like my kind of guy! And by the way... Antandrus... you have charm... and wit. Adamwankenobi 23:34, 23 August 2005 (UTC)
Fernando Rizo's RfA
Thanks for the kind words of support on my RfA, Antandrus. I'll work hard to make them come true. Fernando Rizo T/C 18:40, 20 August 2005 (UTC)

Edit comments?
What's going on with the profane edit comments upon page moves? I've left an alert on WP:Vandalism, but it seems to be mostly out of your typical character as a normal and helpful contributor. -SocratesJedi | Talk 16:18, 22 August 2005 (UTC)
- Ah, okay. Sorry about the confusion. -SocratesJedi | Talk 17:17, 22 August 2005 (UTC)
Trumped...
My Arensky trumped by your Escobar! I wonder whether to be bold and enter plainchant under the category of constantly-changing time-signature… :-) --RobertG ♬ talk 20:25, 22 August 2005 (UTC)
Presidio of Santa Barbara
Nice work on the Presidio of Santa Barbara article. Since it's no longer missing and not even a stub, I've removed it from Wikipedia:WikiProject Southern California/Other Counties to do. You should think about recommending the article for Did you know. For example, you could suggest: Did you know...that the Presidio of Santa Barbara, built by the Spanish in 1782, is the second oldest building in the state of California? - You're welcome! The standard way to show appreciation on the Wikipedia seems to be to award Barnstars, but I've seen them sometimes given for what I consider inappropriate reasons. I'd much rather just add a personal note to a person's page. Then, if I think someone is one of the good guys, I'll remember them and do one of my very rare votes at Requests for adminship.
- I've been getting very depressed watching Missing Wikipedians. One of the more interesting remarks on that page is the quote taken from the goodbye on User:GK's page. I probably should just take the page off my watchlist. :-(
- Since you have some GIS experience, I have a question for you. I've been doing some genealogy, but sometimes it's a real pain trying to keep track of where people have moved. I don't need anything real fancy—just something that would show county boundaries, allow the inputing of city locations and names, usually strait lines (with arrows?) between the cities, and some simple annotation capability. I've looked at some of the free and commercial GIS software out there, but all the descriptions might as well be written in Arabic, because they make no sense to me. Do you know if any of the simple free GIS programs, such as fGIS, might work for what I'm talking about. BlankVerse ∅ 04:52, 24 August 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for your praise on my peer review and for creating the map, which I've copied to some other articles. I've submitted the article as a FAC and would appreciate your vote at Wikipedia:Featured_article_candidates/Jean_Schmidt. PedanticallySpeaking 17:05, August 23, 2005 (UTC)
Re: "Luxembourg", aka "Mississippi" or aka "Fake Places in North Carolina" vandal
You're welcome, although I didn't intentionally block for the incidents that you mention... He/she has taken to putting rubbish in the England and United Kingdom articles. After a series of warnings and I block (for the England/UK stuff), I am now blocking this vandal on sight. JeremyA (talk) 04:09, 24 August 2005 (UTC)
Observations
If you live in the Gaviota area, I suppose you know a lot about Santa Barbara. Your contributions to Goleta (I live there) show that can add a lot of stuff to material about Santa Barbara county and these articles (about SB county) need a face lift. Just telling you. --Member 18:55, 24 August 2005 (UTC)
