Mu'in al-Din Chishti

Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti (1141 - 1230 AD), also known as Gharib Nawaz, is the most famous Sufi saint of the Chishti Order of South Asia. He was born in Sajistan in Persia but settled in Ajmer, India.

Hazrat Khwaja Mu'inuddin Chishti r.a. was born in 536 A.H./1141 A.D. in Sajistan (Persia) and was the direct descendent of a noble family coming down from a direct lineage of Muhammad. He was a Hassani and a Hussaini Syed.
