KQEH

KTEH (Channel 54) is a PBS station located in San Jose, California. It began broadcasting in 1964 and is well known to run programing unique to other PBS and network stations, such as anime and British television shows.

The station also operates KCAH, channel 25 in Watsonville; it serves as the PBS member station for the Monterey/Salinas market.

Trivia

• In 1998, KTEH managed to get the entire season of the British sci-fi comedy television show, Red Dwarf VIII. Many episode were in fact shown on American television before British television!
• KTEH was also the first to air Neon Genesis Evangelion in America, as well as the Tenchi Universe TV series. These shows are now part of Cartoon Network's Adult Swim programming block.
