Atstart

Re deleting AtStart's revision: yes, I noticed he/she has been a busy little boy/girl, adding links to his website to lots and lots of Wikipedia articles. I was considering whether to remove the link from the Jack London article, but on looking at the site, it seemed fairly legitimate to me—it really does have free electronic versions of a lot of Jack London's stuff. I don't know if it's all just repackaging of Project Gutenberg or anything like that. I decided to keep it, but move it down underneath two noncommercial websites that have copies of Jack London's works.

As a matter of curiosity: why did you decide to remove AtStart's links? Dpbsmith 22:14, 1 Feb 2004 (UTC)

Nohat

Hi,

Per your request, I made a logo for the Albanian wikipedia. I also made many other logos today. They are all at meta:Wikipedia in other languages. I informed Brion of of their existence on meta:User:Brion VIBBER/Todo list but who knows when he'll get around to installing them. If you're eager about http://sq.wikipedia.org , you'll have to hassle him yourself. -- Nohat 01:27, 2004 Feb 3 (UTC)

Ada

hey dori my name is Ada and I am doing this for one of my history corses. I didn't we had a wikipedia in Albanian, that is so cool. Thanks for doing this, ada

Diagrams

Re diagrams... I created these in gif format, is it worth converting them to png? I'm not phrasing this very well... but if gif is lossy, isn't the data lost already?  :) fabiform | talk 14:25, 3 Feb 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for the advice... I will try to remember to do that in future. Not that they're stella pieces of art or anything, but I decided my poor skills in MS Paint were better than no diagrams.  :) Cheers, fabiform | talk 14:35, 3 Feb 2004 (UTC)

Mock you

I have come all the way here to your Talk just to laugh at you for writing a semi-formal letter to the vectorsite.net author with a descriptive email title of "Hi!". Hahh..... How ignorant, impolite, and illiterate you are. Hahhh.... No, actually, I want to thank you for your effort to take the initiative to get in touch with Greg. You have introduced us to a piece of gem (publically, as opposed to that other anon Wikipedian, whose great find we would've never known). Good work. --Menchi 17:32, 6 Feb 2004 (UTC)

Hehe...yeah I didn't realize until after I sent it that there was a slew of viruses with that subject line from a while back. I thought of editing out his P.S. but decided not to in the interest of full disclosure at my expense :) Dori | Talk 17:38, Feb 6, 2004 (UTC)

Need for Culture Pages

In relation to a comment that you left on my talk page: I looked at the area of multiculturalism. I majored in anthropology as an undergraduate, so I ought to have a clue, but it's been a while. What kind of things have you been looking for that you ain't found? Stan 20:39, 6 Feb 2004 (UTC)

I removed the entries because the page was getting too long. They get archived in the page history, so that's where people can be directed to look. I don't see the need to link to them if they're no longer "recent". --Jiang 00:50, 7 Feb 2004 (UTC)
