Annual plant

A plant that lives for less than one year. Some plants that are classed as biennials or perennials are sometimes considered annuals because of their inability to tolerate cold winters or other seasonal conditions. This is often based on location. For example, a perennial plant in Georgia might easily be an annual plant in Michigan.
