In Scandanavian mythology, Moss Folk were fairies who lived in the forest. From time to time the fairy would borrow domestic goods, and some times they would borrow from people, but would always pay this back ten times over. Sometimes the Moss Folk would beg for breast milk to feed their young, this arroused great suspicion among some people and gave rise to certain superstitions.
